Supplemental Services Tutoring

Public School Choice Options

Under the State of Colorado NCLB waiver, for the 2013-2014 school year, if a school is given an improvement plan rating of “Priority Improvement” or “Turnaround”, the school must offer both Choice and Supplemental Education Services (SES) to eligible students.

Students eligible to receive SES are all students, grade 1-5 who attend a Title I school with an improvement plan rating of “Priority Improvement” or “Turnaround”. Priority will be given to the lowest performing students based on standardized exams such as TCAP. Supplemental Services are tutoring services provided by state-approved providers. Services can be provided at the school, at student’s homes, at a community location, or online depending on the provider’s program.

The following schools will be offering Supplemental Education Services tutoring for the 2013-2014 school year:

Kemper Elementary, Manaugh Elementary and Mesa Elementary Schools
