Application Process

Colorado Preschool Program (CPP) is a state funded program that provides free educational opportunities to children who are 3 and 4 years old.

Children must qualify for CPP and have at least 3 risk factors that may include:

• Financial: families that qualify for WIC, free and reduced lunch, Medicaid
• Language Development: speech concerns and English Language Learners
• Homelessness
• Frequent Relocations
• Past or present drug, alcohol, or domestic violence in the home
• Children receiving services from social services
• Other factors may also be considered appropriate and will be reviewed by our District Accountibility Council

After you fill out an application and receive a phone call, letter, or email letting you know that you qualify you will be given further instructions to fill out the reamaining required paperwork and online registration.

If your child qualifies they are able to attend 3 hours of preschool for free per day. We off a morning session from 8-11 an afternoon session from 12-3 and we also have full day classrooms available. For the full day classrooms your child would be able to attend 3 hours in the morning for free if they qualify and then pay tuition the rest of the day. If your child does not qualify you also have the option of paying full day tuiton.

It is a licensing requirement that we must accquire your child’s birth certificate and immunizations, and your child must have a physical before attending.

We are part of the Montezuma Cortez RE-1 School District and follow the same calendar throughout the school year.
