**Important Update**   **ALL ENROLLMENT FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE 7/8/2026**

If you need any Alma enrollment support prior to staff returning to the school offices you may email: almahelp@cortez.k12.co.us for assistance. Please do not create a New Student enrollment for any student who has attended ANY school in the Montezuma-Cortez School District (including charter schools) in the past two years as it cannot be processed. If your student has previously attended one of our schools, and you are unsure about how to proceed, please contact almahelp@cortez.k12.co.us or contact the main office of the school your student will be attending for the 26-27 school year for assistance.

NEW STUDENTS TO M-CSD -

If you do not have an existing Alma Parent account and your family is entirely new to the Montezuma-Cortez School District you should use the Alma Start option from the dropdown of Alma login pages above to submit any New Student Enrollments needed for your child(ren). Once your child(ren) have been enrolled your Alma Start account will be converted to an Alma Parent account. If your child attended Beech Street Preschool in the last year do not complete a New Student Enrollment, contact almahelp@cortez.k12.co.us or the main office of the school your child will be attending for Kindergarten for support.

Please note that if you have an existing Alma Parent account you may add a new child to your account to complete a New Student Enrollment for them by clicking on your initials in the upper right hand corner and selecting the "Alma Start" option. From the Alma Start screen click on the green plus sign in the lower left to add your child. Once they have been added to your account, you can click on the "Begin a Process" button in the upper right to select the School, School Year and Grade Level the student will be enrolling at for the 26-27 school year.

To apply for Beech Street Preschool for the 2026-2027 school year, begin by applying for the Universal Preschool program here: https://upk.colorado.gov and select the "2026-27 Program Year: Apply Now" button. After submitting the application, please send an email to Andrea Martinez with your child's name, DOB, address, and phone number. Once you have completed the UPK application, please complete the 26-27 Pre-K New Student Enrollment process via Alma Start. If your student attended Beech Street Preschool in 25-26 and will be returning, they have been added to the 26-27 Pre-K Returning Student Enrollment process, and you can complete the needed forms via your Alma Parent account. 

RETURNING/EXISTING STUDENTS TO M-CSD -

If your student completed the 25-26 school year at one of the M-CSD schools a Returning Student enrollment form and Health Services Questionnaire will need to be completed via your Alma Parent account. If you do not have your Alma Parent account credentials or need any assistance with your account you can email almahelp@cortez.k12.co.us to receive help. Once school staff have returned to the buildings at the end of July you can also receive assistance by contacting the main office at your child's school. Be sure to use the Alma login page that corresponds to your child's school for the 26-27 school year to access your Alma Parent account. If you have multiple students at different schools, you may use the login page for any school you have a child enrolled at to access your account.

If you login to your account and receive a message that the 26-27 School Year is in "Pre-flight" status, click on your account icon (your initials in the upper right on a computer browser and lower right on a mobile browser) and select the "Alma Start" option. At the Alma Start page, you can complete the enrollment forms for all of your students, even if they are enrolled at different schools. Click on the icon with each student's initials in it and you will be presented with the enrollment forms that need to be completed.

If your student completed 5th grade in 25-26 at one of our elementary schools they have been enrolled at Montezuma-Cortez Middle School and you will be prompted to complete a Returning Student enrollment for M-CMS. Please do not create a New Student enrollment as it cannot be processed as it will create a duplicate student record in our system. If you are having any issues logging into your Alma Parent account using the login page for their previous elementary school, use the M-CMS login page at https://m-cms.getalma.com

If your student completed 8th grade at Montezuma-Cortez Middle School or Children's Kiva Montessori School in 25-26, they have been enrolled at Montezuma-Cortez High School and you will be prompted to complete a Returning Student enrollment for M-CHS via your Alma Parent account. Please do not create a New Student enrollment if your student attended another school in the district at any time in the last two years, as it cannot be processed. If you have any issues logging into your Alma Parent account using the login page for their previous school, use the M-CHS login page at https://m-chs.getalma.com

If you intend to transfer your student to another school within the district, please contact the school your child attended for the 25-26 school year to notify them that your student will not be returning. Then contact the school your child will be transferring to so your child can be added to the Returning Student Update Student enrollment process at the new school. PLEASE DO NOT complete a New Student Enrollment form for ANY student who completed the 25-26 school year at any school within the Montezuma-Cortez School District. We will not be able to process it as it will generate a duplicate entry for your child in Alma.

If you are registering your child for Kindergarten, and they attended Beech Street Preschool previously, you will be prompted to complete a Returning Student enrollment if we have been made aware of which school your student will be attending. If your student attended Beech and you are not being prompted to complete a Returning Student enrollment form at their new school, please contact us at almahelp@cortez.k12.co.us OR the main office of the school your child will be attending for Kindergarten for assistance.

If your student has previously attended one of our M-CSD schools in the 25-26 school year, your child will need to be manually added to the Returning Student Enrollment process, please contact almahelp@cortez.k12.co.us or contact the main office of the school your student will be attending for the 26-27 school year for assistance.

The required Health Services Questionnaire has been assigned to all Returning Students for the parents to complete via their Alma Parent account, like the Returning Student Enrollment forms. For New Student enrollments, the Health Services Questionnaire will be added to your Alma Parent account for completion once your child's enrollment has been processed and their student record has been created in Alma. Once your child's profile has been created in Alma, an account activation email will be sent to you to establish the password for your account. After your account has been activated, you can log in to your Alma Parent account and complete the Health Services Questionnaire. Please be sure to complete this required form as it provides important information for our Health Services Staff.
