Extra-Curricular Activity Update

extra-curricular activity update

Attention all parents, guardians, and loved ones with students in extra-curricular activities,

Many of you have all been following the developing news about coronavirus (COVID-19). The health and safety of our students, staff, and communities remain a top priority for us. Our safety and health team is currently working behind the scenes to make sure that our emergency plans are up-to-date and to make any necessary adjustments to the plans based on any additional guidance we receive from the Health Department.

As such, we have decided to halt all extra-curricular activities at our school and in our community until April 6th. This is part of a coordinated effort from the Montezuma County and Montezuma Health Department to help curb the potential spread of this virus. We recognize that this is disappointing to so many of our students and their families and we share that disappointment. We also appreciate everyone working together during this time to
help reduce the risk and potential impact of COVID-19 in our community.

If you have any questions about a specific event or activity, please contact your school. Please be sure to be available to pick up your students at the appropriate time and we hope to resume our enrichment programs shortly. This recommendation will be evaluated regularly as the situation changes. Thank you all for your patience.
